Stacey Joseph Harris is a true Southern belle and woman after God’s own heart. Whether it’s leading a group of expecting congregants in worship, delivering a compassionate word to young girls, effortlessly singing a song of praise or sharing her truths with the stroke of her pen, she radiates a light that shines in all that she does.
The Baton Rouge, LA native graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Secondary Education from Grambling State University. Although the former teacher decided to pursue other aspirations, Stacey, an educator at heart, founded Kingdom Girls International. This non-profit organization centers on helping young women, ages 14-24, build better lives through mentoring and abstinence counseling.
In addition to her philanthropic efforts, Stacey is passionate about music. As host of River of Passion Events and worship leader at her church, World Worship Church in Charlotte, NC, Stacey is no stranger to leading others into a deeper experience with God. Both her musical gifts and love for God, have afforded her numerous opportunities to sing with various artists such as Martha Munizzi, Mary Alessi, Micah Stampley, Karen Clark-Sheard and Israel and New Breed, with whom she traveled as a member for 5 years. Later stepping out on her own, Stacey released her debut album, “Prayer Time” in 2007 and most recently, “iBelieve” on her label, J.Stacey Music Group. Both are available anywhere digital music is sold, as well as www.staceyjoseph.com.
Stacey, an avid writer, has also authored the book, “Finding My Way”. An open and honest account of her journey to overcome abandonment, low self-esteem and rejection issues, Stacey hopes that by sharing her experience, others are encouraged to find their way. She is currently working on “Hairdryer Confessions”, a book of random truths and random humor.
Presently, Stacey resides in Dallas, TX with her husband, Maceo Harris. They currently host the show, “It Takes Two” on Bonnerfide Radio (www.bonnerfideradio.com).
